Changing Network Settings

To edit the configuration of the NetVanta Server 450, follow these steps:

1. Delete the existing information for the server's Host Name, Default Gateway, Primary DNS Server, or Secondary DNS Server.
2. Enter the new information in the appropriate field.
3. Verify the changes have been entered correctly, and select Apply.
4. Close the Network Settings dialogue box by selecting the X at the top right corner of the box.

To change the configuration of an Ethernet port, follow these steps:

1. Select the appropriate Ethernet port tab (ETH 0, ETH 1, ETH 2, or ETH 3).
2. Make the appropriate changes to the port's enable mode, speed/duplex, address type, IP address or subnet mask.
3. Verify the changes have been entered correctly, and select Apply.
4. Close the Network Settings dialogue box by selecting the X at the top right corner of the box.

NOTE: Use caution when making changes to the Ethernet port on which your browser session is communicating. Network connectivity could be interrupted by editting the settings on this post.
