License Information

The banner across the top of the screen displays the license information for the current installation of n-Command® MSP. This license information changes color depending on the current status. It displays green if the license is currently valid, yellow if you are within 30 days of the license period ending and red if the license has expired.  

The License Information section of the Settings menu displays a dialog box that enables you to view or update your n-Command MSP license information. New licenses can be generated from this dialog box, but you must first register a user name and password at http://www.adtran.com to access the ADTRAN support website. Once you have registered, use the following steps to generate a license number:

1. Select License Information from the Settings menu.

2. Enter your ADTRAN user name.

3. Enter your ADTRAN password.

4. Select Generate to display a challenge key. Leave this dialog box open because you will return to it in Step 11.

5. Open another browser window and navigate to http://www.adtran.com/support and login using your ADTRAN user name and password (from Steps 1 and 2).

6. Select Product Registration from the website (it is listed toward the bottom of the page).

7. If this is your first time registering your product, you must enter the n-Command MSP serial number and select Continue. If you have previously registered your product, it is displayed on the Registered Product list.

8. Select NCommand MSP Licensing from the product registration page.

9. Select Get License Key from the same line as the n-Command MSP server you are registering.

10. Enter the challenge key from the n-Command MSP software that you generated in Step 4 and select Generate License Key. The license key displayed is used in the next step.

11. Return to the n-Command MSP software and enter the license key generated in Step 10 into the Key field in the License Entry dialog box.

12. Select Update to save the new information.
